About Yucca
We’ve been adding something special to the area since 1951
Serving Eastern New Mexico for over 75 years
Yucca Telecom is one of the first companies in New Mexico to lay a platform for a Gigabit Network. Fiber Powered state-of-the-art technology has been installed in Portales and in some of our surrounding communities. This technology offers 100 Mbps up to 1 Gigabit (1000 X’s Faster) Internet Speeds. We’re focused on providing cutting-edge technology to everyone in our vast service area that covers over 3,400 square miles in Roosevelt, Curry, DeBaca, Chaves, and Lea Counties, much of it over a state-of-the-art fiber network. By maintaining advances in communications, our subscribers can enjoy the benefits of a rural lifestyle while staying connected to the world.
We’re here for you.
Life in eastern New Mexico is full of challenges. You’ve got big moves to make, work to handle, and shows to stream without those buffering wheels crushing your vibe. We’ve got a local office in town—and you just know there aren’t many places that want to help you as much as we do.
That’s why it’s comforting to know that we’re here for you.
Youth Tour
The FRS Youth Tour brings together high school students from across rural America to visit our nation’s capital and learn about rural telecommunications. The tour provides a forum for teens to meet and interact with their peers from other rural communities, as well as, key legislative, regulatory and government figures.
Scholarship Program
The Education Foundation fund provides member students financial assistance in continuing their educational goals. RCRTC is committed to investing in organizations that are dedicated to youth and education, human services, and civic purposes that enhance the quality of life in our member’s local communities.
